Module 15 - Digital Economy

Have you ever purchased something online? Or transfered funds through the Internet? Maybe paid a bill through a website?

Welcome to the digital economy. At the most basic level, the 'digital economy' is how businesses, through electronic commerce, interact with partners and customers through the Internet and web. Some of these interactions mimic previous patterns of business, such as setting up a website like a digital store where customers can buy products and services. Other interactions are completely new and have expanded the digital economy from traditional business to other institutions like health, education, and banking.

The digital economy can allow more people to be entrepreneurs and funders, and also create access to new markets and networks for products and services than ever before. Let's explore some important digital economy tools to foster your activism online.
